sorry i'm late!

after the fastest 12 days of my life, angie has finally left us.

(but not our hearts)

(...and technically not even the airport just yet. sigh.)

What a wonderful time. Not once did I ever feel burdened or even the slightest bit annoyed by her presence. That is a big deal! I mean, come on: 12 days (on and off) of sharing my tiny 1 bedroom doll house with angie and her suitcase. Plus she likes cooking, and not once did my kitchen stay messy.
what a gem.
Hey listen; if anyone is ever in the market for a roommate, might I suggest her?? She will cook and clean and love and laugh and watch degrassi with you.

Another highlight of the last few weeks (long time no nerd. sorry folks) was the triumphant return of my best friend Lindsay Stewart. She has come home safely with:

-shorter hair. (now I can truly mean it when I sing "Runnin' yo' hands through ma fro" to her, a classic craft money interpretation of R. Kelly's "Ignition (remix)".

-a lot of good recipes, and more courage in the kitchen
(so far she has made delicious curried vegetable stew, cabbage rolls, and tomato vegetable soup for us all)

-A new appreciation for her tickle-trunk-esque amazing closet, and all of the surprises it brings.

-motivation

-A car. (and soon to be a bike...)

- A LAMINATOR!! post cards just went to another level. If any of you are avid crafters, put this on your Christmas list. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE*.

(**crafternoons)

Here is another especially intriguing tidbit you oakviller lurkers might appreciate: NICKIE came to visit! YES: NICKIE.. It was soooo fun! We (Nickie, Angie, Alex and I) went on the most exciting North End art crawl together on Saturday and it was so inspiring. We did a lot of really "Halifax" things this weekend and I think the 3 of us walked away really inspired. I am actually going to get a membership to inkstorm printing studio and start silk screening. I have some reallllllly wicked ideas for some prints I want to do and maybe a mini series of pillows. If it looks good some of you can expect wicked Christmas gifts. be stoked.

I have really been taking advantage of the color copier so handy in my kitchen and I can't believe how much crafting I have been accomplishing.

oh, i cracked my windshield, but I am proud of myself because I didn't freak out about it or anything. I normally would've lost it because I feel like maintaining my car is so beyond my abilities and my knowledge but I was just like "ok. i actually have money. I can take care of this. whatever." Turns out it is covered by insurance without affecting how much I pay monthly and I just have to pay the deductible. THEN i shopped around and found a place that pays half of my deductible. my dad is going to be so proud of me.

anyways this is all over the place but it reflects my life as of lately.

oh! one last thing:

pony is finally going to the vet on friday. getting his shots so I can get him fixed. See ya, nuts.

Where ever did you end up getting your windsheild fixed? Mine has been nicked by a rock and I have been avoiding it for the very same reason!
